Half-Day Preschool

Our half-day preschool program runs three hours per session, four days per week – Monday through Thursday. Our morning preschool sessions are from 8:30 to 11:30.  Half-day preschool gives young children opportunities to practice social skills, cognitive skills, motor skills, and pre-academic skills. Through the context of their play children practice these skills. By engaging children in active explorations teachers support their growing understanding of the purpose for those skills. Children are encouraged to participate in faith-based activities, like Godly Play time, to develop their own spirituality as they begin to make sense of the world around them.  A typical day in half-day preschool includes: Class Meeting, Learning Centers/Project Work, Music & Movement time, Snack Time, Outside Time/Nature Classroom, Small Group Time, and Godly Play.

Full-Day Preschool

Our full-day preschool program runs seven hours per session, five days per week – Monday through Friday. Full-day preschool is in session from 8:30 to 3:30 every day, with opportunities for Pre-care, (7:00 to 8:30) and After-care, (3:30 to 5:30). Full-day preschool gives young children increased opportunities to practice social skills, cognitive skills, motor skills, and pre-academic skills. Through the context of their play children practice these skills. Because the program is in session for a longer period of time, children in full-day preschool are given longer, uninterrupted time to engage in learning experiences. By engaging children in active explorations teachers support their growing understanding of the purpose for those skills. Children are encouraged to participate in faith-based activities, like Godly Play time, to develop their own spirituality as they begin to make sense of the world around them.  A typical day in full-day preschool includes: Class Meeting, Learning Centers/Project Work, (with extended time given for children to complete project work), Music & Movement time, Snack Time, Outside Time/Nature Classroom, (also with extended time given for children to work and play in the Nature Classroom), Lunch Time, (a nutritious, hot lunch is included in the tuition fee), Rest Time, Small Group Time, and Godly Play.
