Director, Worship and Arts
Alison Meuth spent the last eight years teaching music and voice at Knox College. Before that she traveled the country as a professional opera singer. Alison has worked for Utah Festival Opera, Sarasota Opera, Annapolis Opera and Opera Illinois to name a few. She has also had a flourishing recital career having sung in Kansas City, New York City, Chicago, New Jersey, Bloomington Indiana and Peoria Illinois. While pursuing her professional career Alison stayed very active in the church. She served on many worship teams and in several choirs. After ending her professional career she began teaching at the college level and conducting. Before coming to UPC she served The First Presbyterian Church of Galesburg, Il. She is the current director of the Peoria Cooperative Academy’s Chorale, Madrigal Group and Theater Class. She also does musical directing at several schools and community theaters in the area. Alison also maintains a large voice studio in her home. She and her husband Jeremy homeschooled their three children until they entered college. She loves God, people and music in that order. She is thrilled to be a part of the UPC family.
